August 31st ~ We are in conflict with each other and our world is being destroyed. There is crisis after crisis, war after war, there is starvation, misery; there are enormously rich clothed in their respectability, and there are the poor. To solve these problems, what is necessary is not a new system of thought, not a new economic revolution, but to understand what is–the discontent, the constant probing of what is–which will bring about a revolution which is more far-reaching than the revolution of ideas. And it is this revolution that is so necessary to bring about a different culture, ad different religion, a different relationship between man and man (woman and woman).
November 7th, 2019 ~ The religion of “What Is.” To just notice what is going on. Every time I question my work situation and whether I am doing enough professionally, I think of this: “What is going on inside of me?” If I really want to change the system and help us transcend, it won’t happen with more thought, which is the MO of most of us. Coming up with new ideas. Coming up with a a technology to fix global warming and transcend the income gap. K is saying: “ to understand what is–the discontent, the constant probing of what is–which will bring about a revolution which is more far-reaching than the revolution of ideas.” This takes discipline and a tremendous amount of energy. Not energy like we normally express but seeing what is going on within ourselves. Nature will take notice, don’t you think?
